The aim of histHub is to establish and operate a research platform for the historical sciences. The platform manages authority files on Swiss history on the one hand and, on the other, it develops digital tools for the networking of databases. With these two priorities, histHub pursues the overriding aim of improving the interoperability of research data in the field of historical sciences.
The aim of the internationally geared project is the critical edition of exemplary works of the European music theatre from Baroque to Modernism. Thus, for the first time an academy-project exclusively addresses the music theatre and its diverse manifestations. Published are the works from the French, Italian, German, Scandinavian, and Slavic music theatre.
The task of the project is the acquisition of sources in Germany from approx. 1600 to the middle of the 19th century, which are important for the music research. There are two departments in the German workgroup of RISM which regionally split up the source acquisition, on the one hand at the Saxon State and University Library Dresden and on the other hand at the Bavarian State Library.
