Research Project, since 1965
A project of the
Academy, since 1946
Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences
Since 1965, Année Politique Suisse (APS) has offered a precise, objective and concentrated account of developments in Swiss politics and society. We follow a political business from its launch to a possible referendum and its implementation, we report on important social controversies, synthesize practice-relevant studies and reports, follow groundbreaking court rulings, developments in the party landscape and much more. One of our central concerns is to embed current events in the context of contemporary history, because current events are often merely highlights of protracted, often repetitive processes that can be traced with APS and placed in a larger context.
APS is a project funded by the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAGW) and located at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bern.
