AGATE

The historical-critical edition of the works and letters of Adalbert Stifter (1805-1868) comprises a total of about 50 volumes. In addition to his poetic work, the edition will also include all documents of his official activities as school councillor in Linz and as provincial curator of Upper Austria, as well as his extensive correspondence. All volumes contain a text-critical apparatus and a commentary with detailed explanations of individual passages as well as information on the genesis and reception of Stifter's texts.
